- Mario Maisonet,
- Mario endured a life-changed event in 2011 when, as a consequence of a bite from a brown recluse spider, his leg was amputated above his knee. He became an expert consumer of prosthetic devices as he continually sought to improve both the fit and function of his prosthesis. He developed increasing expertise as he learned to adjust his own prosthesis to better fit his active lifestyle. First as a patient at Allied and then as an Allied technician, Mario was exposed to the high-level of prosthetics services that amputees can receive at Allied first as a patient and then as a technician. He technical aptitude, growing mastery, and rapport with patients have enabled Mario to quickly become an invaluable asset to Allied. Mario is now Allied’s patient liaison, ensuring that every patient can have the confidence that his or her needs are understood from both the practitioner and patient perspective.
